Just want you to know what a great job Larry did in helping me train Macy and how much we enjoy the Saturday group class. He is a real asset to K9 University/ and keeps us coming back. Rick H.
Tears of Joy
K-9 University is literally the only place that I trust with my dog. I brought my dog Jack to them about 5 months ago. Jack was terrified of people and if anyone (besides myself) would stand up in a room, or walk by him, he would bark at them, chase them, and try to bite them. It got so bad to the point where I could not let him out of my room, and if I had a friend in my room, Jack had to be in his crate. I contacted many training facilities, but k-9 university is the only place I truly felt comfortable at. I am proud to say, that after all the had work k-9 universities staff put in and the continuing effort at home, Jack can now be out in the living room, kitchen, ANY WHERE in the house, and not bark or bite at anyone. I now can trust him with my 18 month old nephew. None of this would be possible with out the help from k-9 university and I know next time I get a dog, they will be the only ones to watch after him and help me train him. I would definitely do it all over again if I had to.

Hi Brandi, Maverick tells me he had a great time with you! Thank you so much for caring for him for us, and for playing with him and making him feel welcome there. It gave me great peace of mind when I called to check on him and you assured me he was adjusting. I will definitely be happy to use your services again for future needs. Thank you, Melanie Gee ....and Maverick :)

Wonderful place!!!! We sent our Basset Hound for boarding and day care while we were on vacation and I can't even tell you what a well behaved dog he was when we brought him home. They did a wonderful job with him and he wasn't even there for training. We are definitely going to have to sign up for the training as well. He also was on medication for an ear infection and they did a great job with his meds - his ears are super clean!! He was a 'little' out of control/hyper when we dropped him off but he was the perfect gentleman when we picked him up. I will use this place every time we need to go out of town!
Thank You
We can't thank you guys enough at K-9 University for the amazing transformation of our dog, Atticus. Larry is truly a God-send of a trainer! Atticus had and still has some hyperactivity issues and we have learned some incredibly valuable techniques to calm him down and get him to listen. We look forward to a long relationship with K-9 University with Group Classes, Day Care, Boarding, etc. I would recommend you guys, specifically Larry, to anyone and everyone!
AMAZING!!!
We just wanted to say how happy and pleased we are with K-9 University. We can't thank you all for outstanding job that you have done with our 3yr old Aussie, Rusty. The change in him is AMAZING and even other family members have noticed. A trained dog is a much calmer dog and calmer household. Thank you to everyone, especially in the Plano location. You have changed not only Rusty's life but ours as well and for that we extend our gratitude!! Jimmy & Jennifer
Thanks!!!
We had an amazing experience with K9. Rocko (our yellow lab) just graduated from basic obedience class. At the beginning he was kind of in a wild state, we were not able to take him out for walks or even to open the door of the balcony because he would go crazy just by smelling other dogs. With K9’s team working hand to hand with us we were able to change not only Rocko’s behavior but ours. We are still in the process and we are working hard to make him a social/ well behaved dog, now we are able to stay in bark parks even when dog arrive (which was out of question a few months ago). Thank you everyone at K9!!! Mónica, Eudiel, Nefer & Rocko
Couldn't do it without you!
I brought my adopted pit bull mix Blackjack to K-9 as a last chance to making it work with him before re-homing. He was always a sweetheart but had insane amounts of energy, very destructive behavior, and definitely bad manners! We tried everything from some simple obedience, different leash options, different toys, a crate, long runs, and hours of chasing a ball at the tennis court.. nothing helped! He never settled down! Taking him to dog parks always ended with us getting kicked out because he liked to play too rough and got way too excited, so not even that was an option to give him outlet to his energy. After two weeks of board & train at K-9 he became more calm, he was finally able to sleep through an entire night, outside of his crate, without having to look for something to chew up! He would also relax during the day, something he didn't even do for more than 5 minutes even after a whole hour of intensive exercise. His obedience was great, and we're still working with him continuously getting better and better every day! Group training is really fun and a great opportuinty to strengthen his obedience and impulse control! I love taking him and he gets some mental and physical exercise that way too. Recently, thanks to the continuous work that the trainers have done with him, he's been able to stay in day care with several dogs and behave very well! I'm really happy he made all this progress, and it wasn't possible if it weren't for K-9, especially for Larry!!! The trainers have always been there to answer questions, provide more advice and different solutions that worked for us. Thanks to K-9, Blackjack is now an inseparable part of the family, and we are extremely happy things worked out :)

Again, just a short note to say thanks for chewy's training. I was very reluctant to leave my boy with K-9 and missed him a lot during his stay. I am glad that i did. He is doing well in his home lessons and all the private lessons are fun and informative. I just wish i can learn faster. Chewy's training is important to me because i want to try flyball with him. He has more energy than i can cope with and he likes playing and chasing his tennis ball. Flyball is all about tennis balls and the "come" command. So basic obedience is needed before he can play flyball.

Dear K-9 University, I had to write to extend our sincere gratitude for your help with our fur-baby, Bailey Ann. Bailey Ann went in to K-9 University a rambunctious 4 month old boxer puppy that rarely paid our attempted commands any mind. Of course, this is customary for a puppy, we were sure. Not to mention that we were certain we were doing all the wrong things. We wanted better for our new addition to the family. We aspired for her to truly be a part of our family. To share in family vacations, family outings to the park, family gatherings at home. We wanted her to be "there" - with all of us. This is difficult to do when she hasn't learned self control and calm confidence. These were our goals that December morning when we left our dear family member in the care of your facility. Of course, during her boarding/training stay we joked about how she was going to come home a completely different dog. We pondered over the difference we would see in her. Comparing the K-9 trainers to the likes of The Biggest Loser trainers with hard-core tactics and astonishing results. We had a lot of fun making jokes . . . even posting some fun comments on our Facebook . . . "Bob Yelper" for Bob Harper, "Jillian Maltese" for Jillian Michaels and our amusing hopes for little Bailey to focus on "self improvement" instead of "game-play" and staying "above that yellow line"!! HA!! (It was quite entertaining!) All the while we were thinking to ourselves; "Hmmm . . . we'll just see!" After all, she was pretty hyperactive! The first evening of the day Bailey returned home, after all the excitement upon her return (we were all desperately missing her!), my husband and I later settled down for a bit of TV time to relax. Typically Bailey would have to go in her crate during this "down time" for us, because with her presence it actually didn't make for much "down time". But this evening was different! WAY DIFFERENT!! As I sat in the floor with Bailey, she snuggled up next to me and with a calm confidence, she was just "there". Being in the moment with us, calm, relaxed and at peace. AMAZING!!! The jokes we had made about how different Bailey would be when she returned . . . well, it seemed they were coming true! To our amazement, she truly WAS different. I turned to look at my husband that evening and my eyes filled with tears. It was so AWESOME, I got choked up! While Bailey still has much to learn, she is already so much more a true part of our family. Just like we had hoped! She relaxes with us often for some TV time at the end of the day! So, with that, we would like to thank K-9 University for transforming Bailey and building a calm, self confident puppy. Our training efforts will continue to develop her into a mature confident dog that will be a part of our family and a part of our hearts for many years to come. We simply cannot thank K-9 University enough for that! Sincerely, Marva Scott and the whole Scott Family
