Summer has officially arrived. With the hot summer days upon us it is very important we keep our pets properly hydrated and out of the heat. Some of the local vets are already seeing cases of "Heat Stroke" so please be careful. Dogs can't sweat like humans; therefore, they are prone to becoming overheated in a relatively short period of time and need plenty of water.
We hope to see as many of you as possible on Saturday, July 22, for the Dalmatian and Weimaraner Rescue Casino Night. It's going to be a lot of fun and all for a great cause! If you haven't registered yet the number to register is 972-250 DALS.

Andy Morrone's 10 Year Anniversary

I would like to congratulate Andy Morrone on his 10 years of dedication and hard work at K-9 University. Andy started his tenure as a Kennel Assistant in Garland and worked his way up to Trainer, and soon became our Head Trainer. Andy will become our Director of Training as we add more locations. Andy is absolutely the best trainer in the area, hands down!!! Andy's love for animals shows in the way he trains dogs and the way the dogs respond to him is remarkable . In addition to being the best trainer, Andy loves to read, is an avid movie goer and plays soccer. For those of you who don't know, Andy went to College on a soccer scholarship, he is quite impressive with a soccer ball!
Thanks Andy for all your dedication, loyalty and support. Our customers and I know their dogs are in good hands with you.

Companion Animal Network Needs Our Help!

BOGART is "Mr. Laid Back". He is approximately 2 years old and is very social with people and dogs of all ages. However, he does not do well with cats or other small animals. Bogart is a regular attendee of K-9's Doggie Daycare and he just loves it! Bogart is a GREAT dog and very affectionate, as the Trainers at K-9 University in Garland can attest. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and ready to find a "permanent home". Bogart would do well as a companion for another dog, as he does have a lot of energy!
